Furniture Supplier Selection Criteria

Find a good business partner is important to support your business success. To find good supplier is critical to your business. So, you need to find carefully good supplier to supply. There are multi criteria to select good supplier, financial and non financial: quality, cost, delivery, flexibility and responsiveness.

1. Quality.This criteria evaluate supplier from quality dimension about product offered by supplier. For wood furniture, quality include work quality, material quality, and finishing. Work quality is include precision finished products, smooth of surface,  flawed. Construction strenght is about furniture strenght if it laid by weight ones. Material quality have several class. Usually, for teak, it differentiate by Perhutani or village wood. Perhutani wood have smooth grain, dark, and gravity is weight. Meanwhile village wood is lighter, big grain, and gravity is light. For every kind of wood, perhutani and village, have several class. Class A is wood that contain only dark wood. Class B is wood that only contain dark wood in one side. Class C is wood mixture dark and light wood, include center of wood.If supplier furniture is good, they can guarantee quality. If products is broken, they replace it with new product or money cash back.

 2. Cost. Good supplier is reasonable price. Not too expensive, not too cheap to believe. Too cheap price can mean they sacrify quality of material or working, process. Usually, they delete kiln dry process that have bad impact to your furniture. Good supplier is not add hidden cost that didn’t tell in the previous meeting. So buyer feel save for their decicion. 

3. Delivery,  time delivery is important because it can impact to your business opportunity. Opportunity is not unlimit time. So you need supplier that have good in delivery time.Good supplier also care about packaging because it is guarantee safety of your products. It prevent from   damage and broken.

4. Flexibility. This criteria evaluate supplier from capacity to supply in big size and faster time delivery. Production capacity is needed to anticipate growth of market opportunity. 

5. Responsiveness. This criteria evaluate supplier from their respond to buyer's problem or question.  So you can easy to access information, product profile as promotion tools.
